Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about filings, timing, payment, and what working with us is actually like.
Standard turnaround is 3 to 5 business days from the moment we have your information and payment. If you need it faster, Rush Processing delivers in 24 hours.
An LLC is a legal business entity registered with the State of Colorado. A DBA, also called a trade name, is a registered business name and is not a separate legal entity. Our LLC vs Sole Proprietor guide walks through the practical differences so you can discuss the right choice for your situation with a qualified professional.
An EIN from the IRS is required if you hire employees, and most banks require one to open a business bank account. Sole proprietors also use it to file business taxes without exposing their Social Security number.
Payment is due before service begins. We accept debit and credit cards, CashApp, Zelle, and checks. Current prices for every service are on our services page.
Yes. The entire process is available in English or Spanish, from the first consultation to your final documents. Se habla español.
Everything is delivered as digital PDFs by email: your filing confirmations, state documents, and the guides included with your package.
You get a dedicated point of contact, start to finish. No call centers, no ticket queues, no being passed between departments. You communicate directly with the people preparing and filing your documents.
No. We are not attorneys, CPAs, or licensed tax professionals, and we do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. We provide administrative support, standard business documents, and guidance for registering your business. For legal or tax questions we recommend consulting a qualified licensed professional.
We are based in Thornton and serve all of Colorado. Filings go to the State of Colorado and the IRS as digital submissions with PDF delivery, so the process is the same whether you are in Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs, the north metro, or anywhere else in the state.
Yes. The price you see for each formation service already includes the required Colorado state filing fee. There are no surprise government charges added at the end for the services listed. Optional extras such as Rush Processing are priced separately and shown before you order.
We need your contact details, the business name you want to register, the type of entity you are forming, and a few basics about the owners. Our Get Started form walks you through each field one step at a time. If anything is missing or unclear, we reach out before filing so nothing goes to the state incorrectly.
Colorado requires every LLC to name a registered agent: a person or company with a physical street address in Colorado who can receive official documents during business hours. A P.O. Box does not qualify for this role. We offer a Registered Agent service, listed on our services page. For questions about whether to serve as your own agent, we recommend speaking with a qualified professional.
Yes. To keep an LLC in good standing, Colorado requires a periodic report each year, and the state charges a fee for it (currently 25 dollars). This is separate from the one-time formation. We can walk you through filing it. For questions about your specific tax or compliance obligations, consult a qualified licensed professional.
Most banks ask for your EIN and your filed formation documents, such as the Articles of Organization for an LLC or a trade name registration. Those are exactly the documents our filings produce, delivered as PDFs. Requirements vary by bank, so check with yours for the full list.
Yes. Many of our services work on their own for a business that already exists: an EIN, a trade name (DBA), operating agreement documents, a DUNS number, or a sales tax permit. You can order any of these individually. Our add-ons page lists everything available separately.
